In February, our hours will be 9am-5pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays only until the 28th, allowing us to rest and prepare for Ramadan while considering menu updates. Thank you for your ongoing support!

As we approach the fifth month of our business, we are grateful for the support and positive feedback from our customers. Since September, we’ve sold over 600 cups of Karak chai and 1000 meals despite challenges managing two kitchens. Looking ahead, we hope to expand our menu and are offering a special January promotion.

The week had a rough start but ended well. We’re adding English breakfast tea for £2, adjusting prices, and renaming dishes. Planning to add more visual elements and new drinks based on feedback. Can’t wait for week 3!

We’re thrilled with the amazing reception in our first week! We’re working on getting a phone number for collection orders and learning from feedback. Our small menu focuses on quality, with seasonal changes planned. We’ve taken your feedback on board and can’t wait to see you again!

A temporary set up so we can finally open the cafe
The past months have been a whirlwind preparing to open. Unforeseen challenges in cooking on site have led to a temporary solution of prepping at home and transporting food to the market. A new menu is in the works, and an open date and menu will soon be announced. 🎉

A Summer Fun Day
The recent Summer Fun Day stall at Stevenage Mosque was a great opportunity for us to introduce a little of what we’ll offer in the cafe. We’re getting everything in place over the next couple weeks so that we can finally open. Keep an eye out for an official announcement!

Another step closer to opening later this summer
The week started with a feature in the Comet, generating community support for the new café. A crowdfunding campaign has raised almost £600 for equipment. The café’s location within the Indoor Market has been finalised. More updates coming soon.
