Herts Responsible Food Award on a green sticker

Update #6 from behind the counter

It has been awhile since we’ve had a chance to sit down and write an update post. In many ways it can be considered a good thing because we’ve been busy. And so much has happened! We continue to value the feedback we receive from all of you and are thrilled that you enjoy the food we have to offer.

We have won our first award! The Herts Responsible Food Award is actually from a wonderful initiative begun by Hertfordshire County Council to acknowledge food businesses that are conscious of healthy and sustainable eating. Because who doesn’t want to feel good about what they eat? We are very grateful to be acknowledged as one of those businesses in the county. We will also continue to work on making our business more sustainable and introduce more healthy eating options in the future. 💛

What else happened

  • We have added Chicken Biryani to our menu! It will be available Wed-Sat and is £6.50. You can find our updated menu on our website.
  • We have now updated our delivery options so that we are available on Uber Eats and Just Eat as well as Deliveroo!
  • We’ve added a charity box to the counter. At the beginning of the month we’ll be choosing a new charity and donating any contributions at the end. So keep an eye on our social media to find out which charity we’ve chosen for the month!

Answers to feedback & questions

  • Are you going to expand your delivery area? – Right now we are using the drivers from each delivery service so the delivery area is set by them.
  • Are you halal? – Yes, we only use halal meat and products in our dishes.
  • Are you going to add more vegetarian dishes? – To keep things balanced, we are currently planning on our next menu addition to be vegan/vegetarian friendly.

Thank you again for all the support you’ve given this past year. It is hard to believe that next month we will be celebrating the fact we’ve been open a year!
